Dirty air enters the collector at the top of the housing, allowing dust to collect on the outside of the filters as clean air passes through high-efficiency media. Our downward airflow design uses gravity to assist dust fallout into the hopper—both during normal operation and pulse cleaning—preventing dust from becoming re-entrained on the filters.

This results in better filtration efficiency, longer filter life, and reduced maintenance compared to side- or bottom-entry systems.

The ACT 2-8 is a compact dust collector designed for applications such as metalworking, weld smoke and fumes, blasting, plastics, and more. With its small footprint, it’s ideal for collecting dust and debris in smaller areas within a facility.

The ACT 2-8 holds eight cartridge filters and comes standard with A.C.T. Nano-Elite nanofiber cartridges. Built for a low total cost of ownership, the system uses standard-sized filters, reducing replacement costs compared to collectors that require custom filter designs.
