Pass-thru Powder Booths are mainly used for continuous or high-production powder coating lines, where parts enter through the one opening, get coated inside the booth, and exit through the opposite end.
They are typically used when parts have to be handled using some sort of overhead conveyor or monorail. Instead of loading the parts on the booth or a cart into a booth, stop production, coating it and unloading it or emptying the booth, the parts continue to move through the finishing process.
Ideally, if it makes sense you would use recovering collectors for recovering powder when using the same powder color applications. Air will be introduced into the booth and through the collection system, capturing powder and after the filtration system, exhaust the air back into the building. The booth is designed with the maximized filter quantity to assure efficient particulate filtration from the cartridge filters. The booth is equipped with a self-pulsing system that continuously cleans cartridge filters for longer filter life. Unused powder can be reclaimed for future powder application.

Each module includes a heavy-duty TEFC motor designed to provide added efficiency and lower operating costs. Durable, high-efficiency cartridge filters are held in place with a twist-locking mechanism. In addition to providing fast and easy cartridge replacement, the product offers a reinforced seal to minimize powder leakage. Powder collection modules are shipped modular. Upper section shipped as a module, lower section shipped for field assembly.

Pass-thru powder booths are designed around the largest produced part for proper booth sizing and heaviest part for proper support. These booths are available in numerous sizes and configurations, making them suitable for a variety of finishing applications.
It is important to understand that adding product openings to these booths changes the way air moves through the booth. At times, we are able to incorporate pneumatically operated or automated doors to the openings, but when remained open; because a paint booth relies on controlled airflow to safely capture powder overspray and contain powder in other production areas, the required CFM may need to be increased or adjusted when conveyor or crane openings are added.
Our engineering team evaluates the size and location of these openings, along with the overall booth design and application, to determine the airflow required to maintain proper booth performance and meet applicable code requirements.
