The Control Panel provides advanced, PLC-based control for both batch and continuous process ovens. Designed for reliable operation, simplified monitoring, and operator convenience, the system controls oven functions, monitors safety interlocks, and provides clear notification of system alarms and operating conditions.

The control panel is UL 508A listed and built around a Siemens operating platform for dependable industrial performance.

Touchscreen HMI & Operator Interface

The INSIGHT system provides operators with an intuitive touchscreen interface for monitoring and controlling oven operation.

Standard interface features include:

• Current oven operating status
• Process temperature and temperature setpoint
• Easy pop-up screens for adjusting temperature and process times
• Digital display of process set time and remaining cycle time
• Operating sequence information
• Clear fault and alarm notifications
• Simple access to changing operating conditions

The touchscreen HMI can also be installed in a Type 1 remote operator interface terminal, allowing the controls to be positioned where they are most convenient for the operator.

Standard Control Components

Depending on system configuration, the Control Panel includes:

• Cable assembly for fast, simplified wiring between the remote operator interface and main control panel
• Main door-mounted disconnect handle for additional electrical protection and lockout/tagout
• Motor starters or Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) with branch-circuit and overload protection in accordance with NEC Article 430
• 120 VAC control transformer with primary and secondary fusing
• 24 VDC control power supply
• Ignition transformer
• Flame safeguard controls
• Airflow switches and safety interlocks
• Terminal strip for field wiring

Modes of Operation

Standby Automatically initiated when the oven controls are powered but the system is not actively operating.

Low Temperature Standby The oven operates at a reduced temperature while awaiting the next cycle. The system can automatically enter Low Temperature Standby before a cycle begins and after completion of Cure mode, helping maintain readiness for the next production cycle.

Cure Mode Initiated through the touchscreen HMI. The oven increases to the programmed cure temperature setpoint and maintains the required process conditions until the cure timer expires.

Post-Cure Purge Automatically initiated after the cure cycle. Heated air is purged from the oven to reduce the internal temperature to the appropriate level.

Shutdown Delay Following motor shutdown, the control system prevents an immediate restart for a predetermined period, allowing the oven to safely complete its shutdown sequence.

From temperature and cure-time management to burner safeguards, airflow interlocks, alarms, and system status, the Control Panel puts critical oven operating information at the operator's fingertips.
