Advantages of the ACT 4-48

With millions of CFM flowing through A.C.T. dust collectors worldwide every day, we bring proven experience across a wide range of industries. Most systems are custom designed and built, and our engineering team works with you to deliver the right solution for your application.

Dirty air enters the collector at the top of the housing, allowing dust to collect on the outside of the filters as clean air passes through high-efficiency media. Our downward airflow design uses gravity to assist dust fallout into the hopper—both during normal operation and pulse cleaning—preventing dust from becoming re-entrained on the filters.

This results in better filtration efficiency, longer filter life, and reduced maintenance compared to side- or bottom-entry systems.

The ACT 4-48 is an efficient and versatile dust collector designed for applications such as metalworking, weld smoke and fumes, blasting, plastics, and more. It is well suited for collecting dust and debris from multiple areas throughout a facility, including multiple weld cells or process points.

This horizontal cartridge dust collector features downward airflow technology that maximizes airflow to improve dust separation and system efficiency. With 12,192 square feet of filter media, the ACT 4-48 delivers reliable, high-performance dust collection for larger or more demanding applications.

The ACT 4-48 was designed with maintenance in mind, making routine service fast and straightforward. Standard features include:

The ACT 4-48 holds forty-eight cartridge filters and comes standard with A.C.T. Nano-Elite nanofiber cartridges. Built for a low total cost of ownership, the system uses standard-sized filters, reducing replacement costs compared to collectors that require custom filter designs. Considering long-term filter costs at the time of purchase helps ensure maximum value over the life of the system.
